Beads Of Water, Drops Of Gold - Tibet Against Three Empires

When the Tsar of Russia threatens Britain's Empire in India, Lord George Curzon, the Viceroy, selects a young British Army officer called Captain Francis Younghusband to lead a secret and dangerous mission to thwart Russia's ambitions. The failure of this adventure could destroy both men and have untold consequences for the British Empire's "jewel in the crown". The expedition is complicated by the intrigues of an enigmatic Russian spy called Dorjiev, and blessed with the appearance of a beautiful and mysterious young Tibetan woman called Sonam. It is her presence that helps to solve the puzzle of who was really the first man to reach the summit of Mount Everest - Tibet's holy Chomolungma, the world's highest mountain.
