The Line of Ataulf: An Ode to the Noble Hero

For thousands of years, the villagers of the Danube region have told the story of Adolph the Dragonslayer, a hero on par with the gods of old. But the real Adolph, a boy named Ataulf, no one knew, his actual story lost in the mists of time and legend. This is the story of the boy and his descendants. Through more than two-thousand years and a hundred generations, they would experience the passion of human history, molding the world in the name of their venerated ancestor. They would know suffering and exaltation, all the while watching their world change from the forested, tribal world of the primeval ages to the complex, technological era of confusion we now know.
