Dr. Fengbo Zhang has helped Chinese top leaders with policy-making since the 1980s. In this book, author comprehensively analyzed Chinese transportation structure and key issues based on transportation economics theory, empirical analysis methods including historical, structural, econometric and international comparison analysis, along with other extensive data. He guided Chinese transportation development plans and scientific policy-making. The first edition of this book was published by the People Press, the top publisher in China in 1987, and has been used as key textbook for Chinese major universities as well as government training.
