Description

Ahmed Hojafi was the Ambassador for the Kamil Arab Republic in London. He was a Jekyll and Hyde sort of character, charming but ruthless. His all consuming passion was the abduction and murder of young blondes, a macabre trait inherited from his father, who was the Republic's President. His unusual childhood had been steeped in visions of sadistic punishment meted out to domestic slaves, virtually all of whom were both female and blonde. Now many years later, as the London Ambassador, the unfortunate blonde visitors to his underground dungeon were invariably never heard from again, that is until their charred skulls began to appear in some of London's more public places. John Dring was a reporter on a local London newspaper. He had recently been involved in an adulterous affair with Sally Fielding, a brunette investigative journalist. Then one day she just disappeared. Some weeks later, her charred skull was discovered on a London rubbish tip. Inspector Terry Preston of Scotland Yard was the detective in charge of investigating both the murder of Sally Fielding and the mysterious disappearing blondes. He discovered evidence of Sally Fielding's affair with John Dring, and regarded him as the number one suspect in her murder, before he too subsequently disappeared. However, the cases were not thought of as linked in any way, because Sally Fielding had been a brunette. Meanwhile, Ahmed Hojafi was planning his masterpiece. He planned to abduct, dominate and then destroy England's shining rose, the blonde oscar winning actress Sarah Moore. His plan had been devised in such a way that no one would even suspect that a crime had been committed. John Dring was the only man who knew the truth, but he had disappeared, and as a key murder suspect, who would believe him anyway? That is if he lived to tell the tale.
