Keely, My Life-Changer

I dreamed of creating a perfect family, unlike the one I grew up in-two beautiful children, white picket fence, loving husband, etc. After only a few months into my marriage, the dream dimmed, then shattered at the birth of my baby girl. Only those who have a mentally challenged child can fully understand the depth of heartache and despair that comes upon you when your child is diagnosed with mental retardation. Dreams crumble, hope dims and life turns upside down. A retarded child will change your life. Keely changed mine. Keely, My Live-Changer is a story full of loss and failure, hope and triumph. If you are struggling as a care-giver or with some other difficulty in your life, this story may be a source of encouragement to you. That is my prayer for all who read my story.
