is a very practical and applied presentation of the most commonly used nonparametric statistical techniques that are available in statistical packages and open-resource statistical websites.  Majorie Pett has designed this book to assist the reader in understanding when a particular nonparametric statistic would be used, how to generate and interpret the computer printouts resulting from the application of this statistics,  and  how to present the results of the analysis in table and text format.   The Second Edition now includes in-depth material on other nonparametric multivariate statistics (e.g., 2-way ANOVA by ranks and logistic regression).   The two statistical packages that are used throughout are SAS and SPSS for Windows and Mac (versions 22-23).  SAS syntax and output for all of the examples provided is available on the accompanying website for the book.  SPSS output is included in the text.
