Observations of An Average Airman: Letters to those back home...B/W Edition

See through the eyes of one who had "boots on the ground" what daily life on a Forward Operating Base is like. There are plenty of books out there that tell of the horrors of war, this is not one. This book is simply a day to day walk in the shoes of and Airman who was there. The contents of the book were compiled over a deployment to Afghanistan from Autumn 2007 to late Winter 2008. The letters to those back home are intended to give a day to day view of life in the military while deployed. I was deliberately vague about military missions and events for security reasons. I present my view of life and beliefs during this deployment as a window for others to see what life is like for a few of us in Uniform who have served over the years.
