The Cry of the Tomahawk: The Battle of Wyoming 1778

This is a true and gripping account of one of the most bloodiest battles in the Amercian Revolution. Settlers from Connecticut brave the wilderness to etch a haven out of the endless forest some sixty miles beyond any other settlements. Here they fight Indians, British, and Pennamites for the right to exist, much as the new nation to which they pledge their undying allegience, and participate in its fight to be born. Its citizen soldiers fight in many a conflict of that war, and finally fight on their own doorsteps when the forces of that conflict finally descend upon them in their haven in the forest. Here, at Wyoming, they make a desperate stand but in the end are decimated by superior forces. Their stubborn stand in one of the bloodiest battles of the American Revolution and is a testament of their resolve.
