Sound in the Atmosphere

The monograph is description of the movement of sound in the free atmosphere. Designed for use in upper division college classes, the book derives the speed of sound and uses the results to show best practices for aviation noise abatement procedures. Sound absorption and anomalous sound propagation are also discussed.
