Can You Really Trust God?: Trusting God, Even with the Big Things

I WAS talking with my barber. His words saddened and encouraged me. He told me of his wife's death. He described how the disease horribly invaded her body, making her an invalid. Then he said she had died of a heart attack soon after her disease was diagnosed. That's the sad part. Here is the encouraging part. He said, "I just need to trust that God was taking care of her. She told me, 'This is no way to live.' I'm thankful God took her home, away from the disease. I'm grieving, and I am thankful." My barber trusts God with big things: comfort, eternal life. Now he can live in peace in his grief. He is missing his wife and thanking God for her life. He lives with hope, knowing his wife is in God's perfect place. Why don't more people trust God this way? Long ago, God created Adam and Eve. He gave them everything. He told them, "No." to one thing in the world. He wanted them to trust his love, his creation and his command. He wanted them to trust him. God said to Adam and Eve, "No." to one thing. Then the devil in the form of a snake said, "Go." Eve asked, "Whom do I trust?" Trust left. Now we're all looking for it. "Can I really trust God?" What's the answer? That's the purpose of this book-to help you walk in the same trust place my barber is walking, to answer: "Can I really trust God?"
