From Old Sprouts to New Buds. Part 1. Gardening in the Cabbage Patch with Children

It is with a true love of gardening I will share some gardening knowledge collected twenty five years ago from pioneer gardeners and the University of Alaska's Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners with you. The companion book From Old Sprouts to New Buds. Part 2. Mushroom Hunting with Children in Fairbanks, Alaska comes from a lifelong interest in mushrooms. Now that I have two grandchildren, Sierra and Jack, I thought it would be fun to include gardening and mushrooming with children in the two books. I hope to inspire the young gardeners and the older gardeners of our great state of Alaska. We should try to pass down the love of gardening and mushrooming to the generations that follow us.
