Arugba - Orisa - Calabash carrier for the gods

Igba and its carrier, Arugba, are sacred entities in any Orisa worship or Orisa Tradition in Yorubaland or in the Diaspora. Arugbas are either young virgins, middle aged women, in few cases old women and at times young or old men chosen from the congregation of the worshippers or from specific families e.t.c. The book traces the historical origin of Igba and its carrier{s}, Arugba{s} and unveils the sacredness of the duo from the time immemorial till date.
