We are all suspended in planetary networks, composed and configured by economical, cultural and political powers. Yet brought to earth, grounded in daily life and located in an image, a sound, a language, such processes and procedures acquire the vibrant immediacies of an unsuspected sense and unplanned potential. The essays in this volume propose to examine the aesthetical and ethical implications of this perspective through bringing together questions posed by modern art and postcolonial politics.
