A Very Tranquil Time

A story set in a tranquil time, just prior to the beginning of the Korean War. It follows a young man and his dream, called to duty in the opening phases of that war. In it he distinguishes himself in combat, returning to his home a hero and far more mature than when he left. It describes life in 1950s small town America, the dreams, the social behavior, the conflicts, the love.
