Dancing Between Shadows - Poetry Reflections

Poetry has been a part of my life since I was a little girl in the rural South. Poetry is comforting, like food. The poems included in this book were composed over the past 10 years. Maybe you will find a poem, or several, that resonates with your being. If one person connects with one of my poems, it would have been worth the journey. You do not have to be a celebrity, a Nobel peace prize winner, or have several credentials behind your name; you are greater than these things. These things are fleeting. What is important is that you find something that warms your spirit, something that makes you feel good about who you are and it brings you serenity and happiness. My motto: "What other people think of you is none of your business; it is their business." What is important is what you think of yourself. I know that I am good enough and what I do is my best. I do not judge myself; that is reserved for other people. I love myself more each day while extending unconditional love to all. I say go for it; life is really too short to merely waltz through it with eyes closed. Beauty lies everywhere. Partake of it.
