In The Rearview Mirror

In The Rearview Mirror, a memoir, is a road story, a coming-of-age story and a love story. It chronicles an epic hitchhiking trip across America in 1961 by two white teenagers from Cleveland, Ohio, as they make their way home from California. Along the way, they see a wide open and different country than they ever knew existed. They meet a diverse group of American characters who open their eyes to other ways of life. It was a time when the web of Interstates was just beginning to creep across the land and just before the death of JFK, race riots, Vietnam and the sexual revolution.
