📖 Description
A Journey across Russia on the Trans-Siberian railway. In the summer of 2010 John Price travelled from Brunei where he was headmaster of an international school to a holiday retreat in the valleys of South Wales. He reflects on contemporary Brunei as it struggles to modernise its political institutions and the political and economic contradictions of Beijing. He sets out from Vladivostok along the Trans-Siberian and BAM railways to Moscow where he was once a teacher. He examines his love affair with Mother Russia and reviews the impact of Putin and Medvedev.
