God, Golf, and Parkinson's

God, golf, and Parkinson's - all three have been part of Barbara Hogg's life for years. Faith, exercise, and disease have kept her company, each in a different way and each with a different purpose. What's more, each has played an important part in bringing encouragement and strength into her life as the disease continues to manifest itself in her body. Through sheer determination, she has discovered the silver lining that aids her in her fight. Golf and exercise have become integral parts of her life since retiring because they provide a way for her body to become strong against the disease. She uses the skills she's learned over the years to keep her in some type of physical fitness, as that helps delay the disease. Being active and emotionally involved in her life also aids in controlling the depression and anxiety that can come with Parkinson's disease. Most of all, God has been in her life for many years. In this personal narrative, she does her best to convey the importance He has played in her life by accepting her, leading her, and protecting her throughout her life. God, golf, and Parkinson's disease will be part of Barbara's life until she dies, and then God will be with her for eternity-on earth and in heaven.
