Splinters From My Rocking Chair: A Journey Through Incest Survival

Incest - the dirty little secret in most of our homes, deep in our society and covered up by our churches. Incest - it has become a norm, accepted, yet it is one of the greatest sins no one will talk about. Incest - one of the greatest crimes done against little children; one of the greatest crimes done to innocent children. Sex of any kind and in any form done to children is one of the greatest forms of evil on this earth; whether done by a family member or whether it is done by a stranger. The repair of the damage done to a child is nearly impossible. It takes one's soul and causes mass confusion to each one's life. It paralyzes any chance for normal growth, emotionally, mentally and physically while one never understands the root to one's problems. It cheats one from life. It distorts and steals any good thing that one might otherwise call love. Love - what is love to an incest survivor? This book is about my emotional journey through that mass confusion; the paralysis of my life and what I never understood love to be. This book is about pain. My mission in writing my story is to tap into each reader's pain, each reader's trauma, each reader's own story, each reader's circumstances, each reader's own experience, each reader's life and for each reader to be pulled inside themselves to validate their own pain. I want the reader's to put their own names and faces to their own story as they read the pages of "Splinters from my Rocking Chair". This book is for the children!
