Pre-teens are always having trouble fitting in at school and seem to invite the wrath of their parents. Ellen Abbott is no different. Or is she? Her angst and anger stems from a peculiar lack of sleep. Yet, for some reason, Ellen believes that something isn't as it should be, that something is amiss. Through various moments in her life, she winds her way to the realization of why she seems so disturbed. However, as a result of her discovery, she may not ever live long enough to ever talk about it.
