Too Young, Too Late, To the Fight

The book is an autobiography of a Navy veteran's life, including all the adventurous prelude of being the youngest member of a dysfunctional family, growing up in New York City and upstate New York. It continues through a nine-year career in the submarine service during the Cold War's hottest years. The author's  revealing story includes his introduction to aviation, his introduction to lust and to love,and sometimes sad, sometimes humorous life of a young enlisted man in the U. S. Navy. It is a truthful and well-told story, including warts and all.
Cultural ' then' and 'nows' are sometimes woven into the narrative to provide titilating contrasts for younger generations of readers.
The shortcomings of a brand-new submarine, on which the author was one of the original crewmembers, is detailed as never before.
Historically, some submarines sink to the ocean bottom because of the design errors. As well as errors of construction or premature explosions of ordinance. The Author's submarine was one of the lucky ones to somehow survive everything, including an underwater collision!
Perhaps the U.S.S TRIGGER's misadventures will one day become a cinema comedy, thanks to this first- person's revelations.
