Scandalous Mercies: Jacob's Agenda

Some people think that that the words “scandal” and “mercy” do not go together! One peep into the Bible and a hard look at those around you proves them wrong. The streets of life are literally strewn with men and women like David, Bathsheba, Rahab and Ahab. The modern world has no short supply of those who create the scandals but the great surprise springs from the God who forgives the unpardonable, again and again! Our first book in the series dubbed “Scandalous Mercies” is centered on the life of Jacob and the modern versions cut from the same cloth. That God would choose to be known (by covenant) as the “God of Jacob” is an eternal puzzle that defies human logic and offends human judgment. Yet no one can deny that there are depths of divine mercy that are simply scandalous in dimension. The Jacobean character is dissected and put back together again by spiritual engineering to help those who need to understand this mysterious dealing of divine grace. While the “modern Jacob” gets a lesson on what lies in wait for those who venture beyond the umbrella of scandalous mercies. In all this, we must remember that the covenant keeping Almighty God will forever be known as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob!(without apologies to anyone.) In this book we come face to face with expressions of agape love that some hate to acknowledge!
