The Untouched

Returning balance to the Midlen Shelf is within Robyn’s grasp. The end to the chaos she triggered—subsequently propagated by the Keepers—depends upon the untouched, a discarded and outcast people. When an unexpected event forces her to swear an oath, Robyn is ripped away from the campaign to rid the Shelf of the last ancient Keeper, thus putting an end to the turmoil. Adding to the dangerous and physically binding oath, Robyn discovers Devon—the man she has loved across lifetimes, and one of the few remaining humans—nears an inevitable death. The oath not only prevents Robyn from ending the Keeper’s reign, but steals Devon’s few remaining, precious days from her. While unwillingly journeying across the Midlen Shelf, she must come to terms with the betrayal that led to her oath, as well as prevent losing herself to the same malevolent pleasure that afflict the Keepers. Fighting against crushing despair, the inescapable oath, and fleeting time, Robyn struggles to find a way to save Devon, break the oath, and prevent the cruel Keeper from ruling the Shelf.
