Crossroad of Shadows

After being forced to flee to the mysterious Dome house to escape a horde of armed raiders, Jarad and Myla are again reunited with their friends in Junction. There they discover the fate of their nation and the cause of the nationwide electrical blackout, and help share in the community's grim struggle for survival against seemingly hopeless odds. But Myla has a secret: using a wind-up radio found by her son, Myla discovers a land with electricity and civilized life. Thus Myla, Jarad, and their children, accompanied by the inscrutable Peter Rafferty, set out on a desperate cross-country trek to find a final refuge in a world gone mad. 

Crossroad of Shadows is the sequel to The Raggedy Edge.
