The Curse

Horrible events scar the early years of Harry Cain’s life and he doesn't understand why, until, on his seventeenth birthday his Grandmother explains that the Cain family is cursed. The years that follow this revelation are riddled with hard luck, carrying Harry into a bitter and hopeless middle age; and then he goes to Hollywood, falls in love with a West Hollywood street walker, and to his amazement things change for the better. Energized by the insanity that surrounds him, he sets into motion a bizarre kidnapping that will bring him wealth or death. This is a story of hope and crippling disappointment, love and abandonment, murder and insanity, but mostly the story of a man's unshakeable optimism.
