How is this done?.

The procedure only requires minimum tools and materials. You simply apply an alginate or silicone rubber directly over the model's skin and then construct a rigid plaster bandages shell over this first layer. When everything has set, just 10 minutes later, you remove the mold and cast into it a batch of liquid plaster or other casting material, let it cure for a few hours, unmold and voila...!

Once you have collected all the necessary materials, you will need about one hour to make the mold and another hour to cast into the mold. Once the casting has set, you may need another hour to finish the sculpture.
