Holy City, California was started and lead by eccentric Father William Riker based on a cult-like mixture of religious philosophy, business and politics. Russian Jewish immigrant Morris Lawrence was convinced to invest and bring his family to Holy City in 1939. Claire, one of the only children to ever live there, tells her tales of growing up with the disciples of this early communal movement.
