The Climo List of word endings: A systematic list of word endings

The history of the alphabet has been the subject of much discussion and academic analysis as to the age and origins of the individual letters, but the definition of “Alphabetical order” has perhaps been considered self-explanatory. Because we (in our Western languages) write from left to right, it has seemed natural to use that fact as the basis of what may be merely a convention. This listing reveals a whole new world of relationships between words, with linguistic origins becoming apparent in a way not seen otherwise. Many and myriad are the dictionaries of special function - crossword, Scrabble, rhyme, phrase, slang and so forth. This work could hardly be simpler, save for its unique alphabetical feature, but may prove to be one of that odd group of dictionaries, lexicons, glossaries etc. which may be read for more than mere reference, but providing what may be described as a sideways view of our language.
