Waiting for Christmas: "Taming the Christmas Gimmies'

A full color family Activity book designed to help parents change the focus of Christmas from 'GETTING to GIVING', from 'TOYS TO TRADITIONS', and from 'BARBIE'S DREAMHOUSE to the MANGER'. Featuring 25 different devotion choices, the book has a calendar of Activities and is organized to give parents immediate, purposeful, hands-on fun with their kids. Artist, teacher, author and filmmaker, Sharman Slye is a full-time Gramma helping her husband of 41 years enjoy their grown children and 7 grandchildren. Sharman has taught part-time and full time, written for a monthly Mother's Column in her local Christian newspaper, taught Good News Club, Youth group and Sunday School. Her most current project is a 10 part YouTube Video series leading parents thru the practical, innovative, hands-on methods she used in doing family devotions with toddlers thru teens. Its called Family Devotions: Taming the Christmas Gimmies. Look for it on YouTube starting in July of 2012.
