Quran: Interpreted by Members of the Imam W. D. Mohammed Community

The Quran is guidance from God, for those who realize what it is (2:2), and for those who believe in the unknown, establish prayer, and who give from what God has given them (2:3), and who believe that it was revealed to Muhammad the Prophet, but who believe that scripture was also revealed before Muhammad the Prophet, as well as believe in the hereafter. When these people read the Quran they learn wisdom (12:2) and truth from God (13:1). It leads them out of darkness into the light (14:1), it helps them to see things clearly (15:1), it offers advice from God (17:41), and there are other benefits always being discovered (18:54). Reading it is worship for them (21:106). It also teaches them to think (38:29), it gives them understanding, and it shows them God's miracles. It is confirmation (5:48) and further explanation (10:37) of previous scripture. There is no better time for them to read it than at night (73:6), and there is no better way for them to read it than in a slow, measured, melodious voice (Sura 73:4).
