2031

The epidemic that now threatens both the US and Mexico has been called “Cataclysmic” by the President. Only a small group of dedicated professionals from the CDCC can offer any hope for a resolution. Fate places Janice Monroe, a receptionist at CDCC, into the spotlight assisting Jack Strong and his team while capturing Jack’s admiration and his heart along the way. Only the director of CDCC, John Ku, recognizes her unique abilities at first, but later the entire team comes to rely on her expertise and efforts. Jack is challenged, but he is also inspired by Janice, as well as the other people on his team. These trained field personnel must now galvanize their efforts and join with another team, as they seek a cure for this disease that threatens their very survival. The true nature of the disease eludes them. Their travels take them to the Intel factory in Phoenix where they soon discover to their amazement that one phase of this disease is being spread by machines. Set in the year of 2031, this adventure also provides a glimpse of some of the developments yet to come in the next few years. The political, economic and technological landscape is explored as the story develops.
