Tricks Every Magician Should Know

Everyone knows a trick or two. My grandfather, who had no clue what magic was, did a few tricks. After I was doing magic for a time and talked about magic with other people, they would often show me a trick they knew. A goal of this book is to include all the tricks that someone might show you during one of these conversations. Then, as you grow in magic, you will start to pick up little bits and pieces from other magicians. Often, the only place you can get these bits and pieces are from other magicians when they are just sitting around and chatting. Another goal of this book is to gather these bits and pieces in one location. Then another goal is to present a number of items most magicians consider standard. The overall goal of this book is to provide you with a background of material so that, when you talk to other magicians, you will appear to have the experience of many years. Chances are as you read the table of contents of this book; you will spot several things you already know. However, you will experience something else after reading and practicing some of the things in this book. You will never be at a loss to perform some little trick on a moment's notice. Chances are that you will find some little trick that you will perform the rest of your life.
