When All Hell Breaks Loose: The Implications of the Misinterpretation of Biblical Prophetic and Apocalyptic Literature

Over many years of teaching biblical literature the author has become increasingly concerned about the serious implications of the misinterpretation of prophetic and apocalyptic literature. Rev. Hash contends that much of the misinterpretation comes from a failure to recognize the differences in these two types of literature. In this book he clearly defines and illustrates the two and uses case studies in Ezekiel and Daniel to point out how misinterpretation can have serious, and even dangerous consequences. He challenges the dispensationalist thinking and end-time scenarios of David Jeremiah, John Hagee, and others like them who focus on the apocalyptic to the neglect of the prophetic and offers a more balanced approach to analysis and interpretation. In the last chapter Rev. Hash contends that there is hope for peace in Israel if the message of prophetic literature is not drowned out by the message of apocalyptic literature.
