Description

The Alpha & The Omega is the first of three books, the second entitled Redemption and the third, Abyss: Global Collapse. The story of Phillip Stevens is portrayed being born to a middle-class Sydney family in the 1950’s. Superficially, the Stevens family appears like any other. The inner walls of the house reveal that a life of violence, anger, heartbreak and turmoil is the reality of the five inhabitants. Creating hilarity amongst his fellow school students, despite his self-destructive efforts, Phillip remarkably passes exams but his escape preference was acting as the joker. A complex character emerges, charming, intuitively aware but scarred with rage, he unconsciously uses his charm to build rapport, relationships and the seduction of the unaware. His sibling relationships were precarious, but bonded by a shared understanding of the realities of abuse. His relationship with his youngest sibling was tenuous, resulting in oppressive sadness. Phillip qualified as a lawyer in 1980, but starved for fulfilment in law, departed for New York in 1981. Hungry for success, he carved out a lucrative real estate career and learned to trade on the stock market. He met Zachariah Cohen, the brother he had never had, who taught him stock market and Wall Street survival. Living the paradox of risk and discernment in New York, a life-long friendship was founded. Phillip sold all his stocks and securities two weeks before the 1987 stock market crash. In funds and driven, he returns to Australia to build a mining empire of epic proportions.
