Photosynthesis (Science Readers: Content and Literacy)

Have you ever seen a tree at the grocery store buying dinner? Probably not! Discover how plants harness solar energy and other elements to make their own food through photosynthesis, a crucial process upon which all living things depend. Third-grade students will enjoy learning about photosynthesis and plant structures through this high-interest informational text filled with fun facts and colorful images. Aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards, a hands-on Think Like a Scientist lab activity is included at the end of the book, providing students with an opportunity to apply what they've learned in the book. Helpful diagrams and text features, such as a glossary and index, are also included to improve content-area literacy and support STEM education.

About Shell Education
Rachelle Cracchiolo started the company with a friend and fellow teacher. Both were eager to share their ideas and passion for education with other classroom leaders.
