Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Trent works for Davina in her gallery; David is a valued client. Out of the blue, David asks Trent to pose for a painting that he has commissioned; Trent agrees. David is obsessed by the perfect male form and his house is stuffed full of art that celebrates what in his view is "perfect". He discloses to Trent that he is afraid of intimacy and hates the idea of marring the perfection of man through the act of sex. Trent offers to paint his picture; a kind of therapy; David agrees. David sees a different kind of perfection in Trent and they begin to fall in love. Both pictures proceed and the painting that Trent posed for is unveiled. Trent is with David for the unveiling and is mobbed as everyone realises that he is the subject. David is jealous but tries to hide it but the ugly truth comes out and Trent finishes with him. Trent finds love eventually; David is left to admire the men on his walls, probably he will never be ready for the real thing.
