Detailed history of Dunlop-Slazenger golf balls from 1909 to 2013. The oldest Dunlop/Slazenger golf balls are extremely difficult to locate and photograph in the US. Version 1.2 includes 45 pictures of 183 known Dunlop golf balls available to the author in private collections. Lists all known Dunlop golf ball models, 88 pictures of 171 known and listed Maxfli golf balls, and 33 pictures of 54 known and listed Slazenger golf balls. Includes pictures of seam markings, dates of 1st manufacture when known, and performance descriptions. Includes a brief history of the golf ball from wooden balls to Gutta Percha. Note to Collectors: This book is not intended for collectors who auction, affiliate advertisers, or collectors who need photographs of all of the oldest Dunlop/Slazenger golf balls available in private collections due to limitations in available records and collection resources. As additional golf balls become known or photographed they will be included in future versions of this book. Dunlop MaxFli golf balls were used by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman at different points in their careers.
