Ritsu The Cursed One

I’m not an addict. When the bonds holding Ritsu from becoming a beast are broken, Ritsu will have to decide who he wants and needs to become to save his friends and if he even wants to save those around him, those who are losing to natural selection. In order for the Island of Jujav to exist, one person from every generation must be cursed. For Ritsu, the curse takes on the form of a beast who wants nothing more than to be at the top of the food chain. Like it’s supposed to be. Ritsu refuses to allow the beast to hunt humans but without any friends and the constant oppression he receives from the people on the island, he can’t help but love the almost addictive power the beast gives him. When he ruins the only friendship he has, he finally leaves the Island and finds himself in a foreign world; a world that is willing to accept him and people who understand the burden of being cursed. But there are no happy endings in Ritsu’s world. When his friend is murdered because of him, he joins with the beast to avenge her death but in doing so, loses everything he has fought so hard to protect. After returning to the island, more than memories are raised and his cousin wants nothing more than for Ritsu to disappear permanently. No one expects his revenge to open a rip in time and send them both hurtling back thousands of years to the very beginning of the curse. In this ancient world, there is a chance to end the curse forever and save everyone. Only Ritsu can break the curse but with the beast in the driver’s seat, does he even want to? *This story takes place in a fantasy world.
