Robert had been a psychiatric nurse for years and had always tried to stay away from working on wards caring for people suffering from dementia, as he found it on the whole upsetting and depressing. Circumstances forced him into this unwanted situation; but over the years he found some real satisfaction caring for the elderly mentally ill, though not without some trauma along the way.
