Moments in Lavender is a storytelling Photo Book. It is designed to support memory stimulation of past experiences for people with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and memory loss. It is more than a book of pictures; images are designed to flow, engage and tell a story within the theme of lavender flowers and mauve and yellow colors. Short visual stories for reminiscing include: sewing a tulle skirt; a toddler dancing and playing with balloons in her new tulle skirt, lavender growing, filling a scent bag with dried lavender, a child having her hair tied in rags for curling. The book provides the opportunity for sharing, reminiscence and storytelling in one-on-one situations or with a small group. It is suitable for carers, activity coordinators, therapists and family to share with a person in care to support social interaction.
