SPFSC Chemistry: Atomic Stucture, Bonding and Related Properties

The book was designed from the SPFSC Chemistry prescription effective from 2012. It contains short notes for each topic for the first aspect of the Year 13 Chemistry course now used in the South Pacific Region; Atomic Structure and Bonding, Nuclear Chemistry and Transition metal. The content is general highlighting important concepts that are required by each Objective in the prescription. It ensures a narrow approach by focusing on each objective. The book was constructed using personal knowledge and experience on the course, and also with digital resources from online wikis from the US and UK. Some teachers might be stressed digging through wide ranges of text books for their information, and link them for lesson delivery. This book is very helpful to teachers and students because, it covers all the required concepts for certain topics stated in the prescription. It can be used as a Hand book for teachers or students as it is written in very simple English. Emphasizing the concepts portrayed are the diagrams, tables and graphs which are clearly shown and labeled to the very best effort. It is an advantage for both the students and teachers to use this book because, there is less time to spend in understanding the concepts given as the notes provided are presented in summary forms. Definitions for useful terms are provided at the beginning of every topic to ensure that student are aware of the terms they will deal with. Doubts raised due to topic coverage for examination is minimized when using this book because it covers all objectives required for the first aspect for the SPFSC Chemistry course. Though this book was constructed from the South Pacific Chemistry Prescription, it also shares common aspects in Chemistry. It explains chemistry concepts for each aspect that are widely used in college level around the world. It is of course very helpful for students or teachers in Chemistry as it can be an alternative resource.
