Connie Antwennette Amens lives in a beautiful neighborhood in Albany, New York and attends Albany High School. Losing her father two years ago; she is now faced with the terrible news: her mother is remarrying high society lawyer Stephen Lorene. When Connie gets frustrated with the people who don't know her but insist to judge her she turns to help from someone she never thought possible. Khristopher Martin Goldenburg is 15 years old, is very wealthy, but he doesn't have the bond with his father that he wishes he did and chooses to reject the people who do want to have a bond with him like his little brother. Meeting Connie in the local art gallery seemed to have an affect on him, why else would he keep on annoying her? Maybe for once he will be the rejectee and not the rejecter. Will Connie be able to make him a better big brother.Connie would rather remain lonely and depressed than to depend on a boy who is known around to be a "heart-breaker." Although she really isn't enjoying life right now, she won't change her mind until he changes his ways. Can she learn to trust him or will he end up forgetting she even exsists.
