When the gods war, the mortals will suffer. That is, unless Olivia learns to walk as a mortal and fight as a goddess. Until recently, independent lawyer, Olivia Parthenos, only had to deal with overprivileged billionaires, promiscuous television personalities, and irresponsible entrepreneurs. But a series of brutal murders have claimed several of her clients and has forced her to take on a vindictive serial killer with a message he desperately wants to share. Despite interest from a pesky FBI agent, Olivia must tackle this on her own in order to protect her clients’ identities. To hide their true lives as Greek gods and goddesses. Centuries ago, after the ancient civilizations abandoned paganism, some of the Greek immortals chose to live hidden amongst the humans in order to find a way back into power and worship. For several centuries they lived peacefully beneath the guise of mortal personas, their original intentions diminishing into a distant memory. The goddess of wisdom and war, Athena, was charged with policing this new life. With each generation she created new personas to watch over the heavenly clientele. But for too long she’s worn a mortal skin and her current persona, Olivia, finds herself afraid to tap into the powers of her true self. Though they are one and the same, Olivia has separated herself from Athena, keeping her wrathful spirit as a chained beast inside of her. However, without Athena’s wisdom Olivia is unsure whether she’ll ever be able to uncover the true purpose behind these attacks. How can she possibly unmask the dark shadow that looms over the hidden deities, if she can’t even identify where her own mask ends and her skin begins?
