ARSENAL F.C. - A FOOTBALL TRANSFER DIARY 1996/1997 - Wenger's era begins (Volume 1)

Arsenal's lack of activity in the early part of the 2013 summer transfer window inspired me to write this drivel! Well, I hope it's better than that! And at least I've been doing something, which is more than some people would say about Arsenal's current band of transfer fixers: the trilingual Dick Law (who can speak Spanish and Portuguese but may struggle when it comes to 'dinero'), club secretary David Miles and chief executive Ivan Gazidis. In EFL terms, the plural noun 'laurels' and the verb 'sitting' come to mind! However, it gives us fans time to reflect. Was it any better during the early Arsene Wenger era? My answer to that will be revealed . . .
