In the effort to preserve a very small part of the past and a part of my heritage, I have gathered material and kept notes throughout the years, much of it concerning Native American Indian traditions and Pioneers of my forefathers and great, grandmother, four times removed, of their knowledge of the land and doctoring with herbs, as well as, how to use simple household items in a survival situation. The compilation of words given in this book is information taken straight from notes and letters from my family over the span in excess of 200 years and told in their words. The contents of this book are varied. There are herbal remedies handed down from my ancestors; there are recipes of old and remedies along with down to earth suggestions for survival in this present day, should the emergency arise. As any thinking person realizes, the threatening holocaust of an all out nuclear war hang constantly over our heads. Our very existence, our way of life as we know it, faces annihilation by men’s own work of genius and the terrible, death dealing weapons invented for mass destruction.
