Overreach: The Society

Upon opening his mail Monday morning, Attorney William Rutherford was less than thrilled to learn he had been appointed by the Court to defend a seemingly low-level drug dealer. Little did Rutherford realize that the routine assignment would put him squarely within the cross-hairs of The Society. A mysterious individual known only as The Commissioner heads The Society, a covert organization of lawyers and judges who seek to increase the authority of the Judiciary within the federal government. The Society will stop at nothing to feed its insatiable appetite for influence and lust for power. Faced with betrayal, suspicion and a mounting body count, Rutherford must either solve the mystery that is The Society or become its next victim.
