1128 used to have a name, a job, a fiancé…a life. She used to have plans and dreams and aspirations. Most of all, she used to have freedom. But one sunny day in July that all changed—Population control came to America and soon the home of the brave was only the land of the free for some. 1128 became a non-citizen, a virtual slave, overnight. Surrounded by vindictive guards, possible allies, and a wealthy citizen owner, 1128 navigates her perilous new life. Throughout her journey she struggles to survive, but always keeps an eye toward escape. If liberty is possible, she is determined to find it.
