Green Apples and Salt Sandwiches

This is a fictional account of Marie who was raised in a very dysfunctional family, led by a mother who suffered from multiple mental illnesses including schizophrenia; and a father who either couldn't comprehend what was happening to his family, or just didn't care. Social Service and religious organizations saw what was going on, and either ignored, or enabled it. Thinking marriage would bring deliverance, she found it to be almost as crippling as her earlier life. She finally found the road to salvation within herself and her God.
