Beyond Blue Oceans: One World One People

During past two decades globalisation has taken root in every aspect of our life, including education, profession, trade and movement of people across continents; and we are progressively moving towards ‘world citizenship’ which encompasses the vision of ‘One World One People’. As a corollary ‘cultural and social integration’ is the need of the time and the book ‘Beyond Blue Oceans’ is based on this positive theme in a poetic fashion. The book especially revolves around Australian-Indian fulcrum but it has global horizon in its domain. This anthology of poems is divided into five sections: (i) cultural introduction, (ii) national pride, (iii) social perspective, (iv) world of satire, and (v) miscellaneous. The well accepted dictum ‘literature is the mirror of society’ is reflected in these poems and so readers should find them lively. It tries to engage the new generation of the ‘digital age’ on both sides of the oceans particularly the second generation Indian diaspora living in the western world. The contents of the book are widely divergent and there is something for everybody’s taste.
