Shethor

Shethor is a science fiction story about a heroic girl with extraordinary abilities. She lived in the city of Mampas with her father, a test pilot. When she was twelve, she discovered to her amazement that she is a descendant of the Desertians, a people who lived in dusty cities under the great desert of Mampas. The Desertians were transportation experts specializing in building every kind of vehicle from hovercrafts to space shuttles. Their culture was based on ancient books passed down from their ancestors but except for a few strange customs, they hardly knew anything about their glorious past. They belonged to the desert of Mampas and the desert was their only world. When her father was killed in a hovercraft accident, Shethor was forced to leave the city and was sent to live in the desert. Although she suffers terribly from an allergy to the desert dust, she finds refuge in a cave far away from the underground city. There, rejected by both Mampas and her own people, she formulates a crazy plot to strike Mampas, free her people from the bonds of their thinking, and get them out of the desert of Mampas forever.
